Hello, My name is Dick Phillips and a decendant of two Early day inhabitants of Boise Basin and have each of their time-lines to share with you as well as some photos etc. Also some information on Bridget Foye, a hotel manager in the Basin. I am planning to visit Placervbilee and am anxious to meet a local Historian. I am a member of the Fort Walla Walla Museum’s Living history Co. and portray those two great grandfather’s of mine. My phone number is 1-509-8129. I have a copy of a November 1863 Washington Statesman newspaper that mentions some activities in Placerville that year. I visited your area in 2000 and met Bill Chestnut and sent him some information that year.I see on line there is a Don Thompson Pavlion at 100 Main Street in Placerville. Is that an RV park? Sincerely, Dick Phillips
Thank you. The museum is open on weekends throughout the summer. I will pass along your note to the Historical Society so they can address your question.
There is not an RV park in Placerville. It’s a park with some picnic tables and grass for gatherings.
