CALL TO ORDER 10:00 AM

APPROVE AGENDA (action item)
A motion to approve the agenda was made by Councilman Wells, Councilman Waters 2nd. Motion passed.
CITY CLERK (action items)
Approve Minutes: May 8, 2021
A motion to approve the May 8, 2021 Minutes was made by Councilman Wells, Councilman Waters 2nd. Motion passed.
TREASURER’S REPORT (action items)
June Finance Report
A motion to approve the June Finance Report was made by Councilman Wells, Councilman Butters 2nd. Motion passed.
2nd Quarter Report
A motion to approve the 2nd Quarter Report was made by Councilman Wells, Councilman Butters 2nd. Motion passed.
TENTATIVE Budget 2021-2022
Discussed finances. The clerk/treasurer asked about projects for the city. Councilman Butters discussed rebuilding the pavilion. There is a church that would like to build an outside church and thinks it may be something that would work for the pavilion area. Repainting the restrooms. Repairs of cemetery stones bid for ~$5,600. Discussed paving roads and how to get the project done this year.
ROADS
Mayor Davies discussed the idea of chip seal for some areas in Placerville. Councilman Butters informed council about church plans for paving the parking lot and possibly having the city pave a portion of the roads at that time. Discussed Idaho Power and ripping up the roads for the new lines. Councilman Wells was concerned about the irrigation lines that might be exposed at that time.
IRRIGATION
Councilman Wells believes there are no leaks at this time. But there are some moderately extensive issues that need to be addressed soon. The metal piping is rusting and needs to be replaced. There is a French drain that has been placed and seems to be working well. Mayor Davies will contact Matt White about the electrical.
HISTORICAL
Grant funds for the Museum repair from City (action item)
Clark and Phoebe Cassell discussed a matching grant and are asking $5,000 to go towards the grant that will help repair the museum.
A motion to approve $5,000 to match the museum grant requirements was made by Councilman Butters, Councilman Wells 2nd. Motion passed.
CEMETERY
Councilman Waters discussed marking some plots.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Mayor Davies talked about the flagpole. The concrete pad and lighting were discussed. There’s a possibility of a time capsule being found.
Mayor Davies suggested possibly purchasing the small lot by the pavilion for city parking. He will need to contact the lot owner.
CONSTITUENT INPUT
Clark Cassell brought up the many visitors of the museum. There is a gal that wants to help clean up the cemetery.
Fireworks and advertising the event were brought up.
Councilman Butters made a note about the refrigerator provided by the Placerville Fire Department with water for people that may need it during the hot weather.
