Approve Minutes: (action item)
September 18, 2021
A motion to approve September Minutes was made by Councilman Barber, Councilman Wells 2nd. Motion passed.
Building Permit (action item)
There was a question about setbacks.
A motion to approve the Bettis Building Permit with setback limits was made by Councilman Butters, Councilman Wells 2nd. Motion passed.
Current bills (action item)
A motion to approve the Current Bills was made by Councilman Wells, Councilman Barber 2nd. Motion passed.
Reconciliation Report (action item)
A motion to approve the Reconciliation Report was made by Councilman Waters, Councilman Wells 2nd. Motion passed.
EQUIPMENT PURCHASE (action item)
Brian looked into lawnmowers for the city. Discussed different options.
A motion to approve a mower purchase for no more than $2,500 was made by Councilman Barber, Councilman Waters 2nd. Motion passed.
INDEPENDENCE DAY POLL (action item)
Mayor Davies discussed sending out a poll to the residents and property owners to see what the constituent opinion is. Council discussed concerns regarding residents, locals, tourists and Independence Day crowds. No action taken.
Mayor Davies spoke to Curtis Dill about road issues. They will meet again to discuss the roads around Placerville.
Council discussed snow plowing options this winter.
Most everything has been drained. There is a valve issue that will need to be repaired.
FINES (action item)
Council discussed options and issues. No action taken.
Councilman Barber discussed tourists wanting to view the museum.
Finances were presented:
Historical Checking $12,543.05 Savings $4,453.09
Mr. Cassell discussed the grant and a contact.
Bill Chesnut contacted Councilman Waters about some cremains that need to be placed.
Councilman Butters announced the Trunk or Treat to be held on the 30th in the park. The event is a potluck and there will be prizes.
Mr. Cassell discussed ponds, swimming pools, and irrigation water. There are some roads and trees that are problematic. Discussed setbacks. Had a suggestion about water running down the road and ditches.
