August 20, 2021
A motion to approve the August 20, 2021 Minutes was made by Councilman Wells, Councilman Butters 2nd. Motion passed.
October Council Meeting Date Change (action item)
City Clerk asked to change the October meeting date.
A motion to change the October meeting to the 3rd Saturday, October 16 was made by Councilman Waters, Councilman Barber 2nd. Motion passed.

TREASURER’S REPORT
Current bills (action item)
A motion to approve the Bills Report was made by Councilman Barber, Councilman Waters 2nd. Motion passed.
Appropriations Ordinance (action item)
A motion to approve the Appropriations Ordinance 2021-01 was made by Councilman Barber, Councilman Butters 2nd. Butters Yea Waters Yea Wells Yea Barber Yea. Motion passed.
ROADS
Mayor Davies has not heard back about the 2” overlay. It sounds like Placerville is not a high priority for the county. Another load of gravel has been ordered. Councilman Wells asked council about putting up barricades for the roads to help control fast traffic. Council also discussed construction in the city and the details that go along with that. There was a culvert on Granite that needs to be taken care of by the county.
IRRIGATION
Councilman Wells discussed the irrigation water. A valve was left on where water was running down the street. Some water users have not been conservative with the water. Council discussed fines for wasteful water. Council discussed a shut off date in light of the current overnight freezing temperatures.
INDEPENDENCE DAY & FIREWORKS DATE (action item)
A motion to have Independence Day Celebrations on the 4th of July was made by Councilman Wells. Councilman Waters 2nd. Council discussed the celebration details. Councilman Butters No, Councilman Barber No. Mayor Davies broke the tied vote with a No vote. Motion failed.
HISTORICAL
Councilman Wells has an 1800’s display case that he wants to donate to the museum.
CEMETERY
Nothing at this time.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Mayor Davies met with Idaho Power. Within the next 2 weeks Idaho Power will be bringing in a powerline. Next spring, they will go underground with the powerline that will continue over to Garden Valley. Within 3 weeks, logging will take place to create a pathway for the lines. There may be road closures due to dropping trees.
