A motion to approve the Agenda was made by Councilman Barber, Councilman Butters 2nd. Motion passed.
CITY CLERK
Approve Minutes: February 8, 2020 (action item)
A motion to accept the February Minutes was made by Councilman Wells, Councilman Barber 2nd. Motion passed.
City computer update-Mayor Davies discussed a computer but it was out of stock. Mayor Davies sent another sample to the Clerk.
A motion to approve the spring AIC training for the City Clerk was made by Councilman Wells, Councilman Waters 2nd. Motion passed.
TREASURER’S REPORT
March Finance Report (action item)
A motion to accept the March Finance Report was made by Councilman Butters, Councilman Barber 2nd. Motion passed.
FIREWORKS
A motion to approve purchasing fireworks for $3,000 + donations was made by Councilman Barber, Councilman Butters 2nd. Councilman Wells Nay. Motion passed.
ROADS
Blading was done the other day. Gibbs Circle and Soward are opened up. Some complaints have been taken care of. Councilman Wells discussed barrow pits and drainage projects. There is water going down the road that needs to be taken care of. Council discussed options. There was a discussion about the phone lines and having them located. There are a couple other phone line issues.
Councilman Wells noticed that the asphalt is doing well in most spots but there are a few areas that need attention. Mayor Davies will talk with Bill Jones to see if the asphalt can get some chip seal on it.
Councilman Wells asked about some signage that was to be done by the county.
IRRIGATION
Board of Corrections
A motion to open the Board of Corrections was made by Councilman Wells, Councilman Barber 2nd. Motion passed. 10:25 AM
A motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Butters, Councilman Waters 2nd. Motion passed.
Past due accounts were discussed.
HISTORICAL
-Ordinance Amendment #36 (action item)
There was a meeting about the Historical Commission and getting interest to get it back into a working committee. There will be another meeting at the end of the month regarding the Historical Commission.
CEMETERY
There was an email about having helpers come over for community service.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Mayor Davies announced that the Central Committee had a luncheon set up but it has been cancelled due to Governor Little’s recommendations of not meeting due to the Coronavirus. There is a possibility of doing it later.
Boise Basin Boosters are doing a Candidate’s Forum in Centerville. State candidates, county candidates, etc. may be invited. 1:00 PM on April 25th. There will need to be a mediator.
