APPROVE AGENDA (action item)
A motion to approve the agenda was made by Councilman Arnold, Councilman Meek 2nd. Motion passed.
CITY CLERK
Approve Minutes: January 19, 2019 (action item) A motion to approve the minutes was made by Councilman Meek, Councilman Wells 2nd. Motion passed.
Designate Council President (action item)
A motion to approve Bruce Arnold as Council President was made by Councilman Wells, Councilman Meek 2nd. Motion passed.
TREASURER’S REPORT
February Finance Report (action item) A motion to approve the Finance Report was made by Councilman Wells, Councilman Meek 2nd. Motion passed.
ROADS
Due to the excessive amount of snow, it is getting difficult for the machine to push the snow. The roads are getting narrower. There were some issues with the equipment that have been taken care of now. Council discussed getting some chains for the backhoe. Chains will be ordered from Les Schwab.
IRRIGATION
Ground water is good. Dan Hawkins quoted about $4,000 for the product to redo the siphon on the dam. Council discussed a rusty pipe. Water is being lost due to perforations in the pipe. Councilman Wells would like to get it taken care of before something major happens. Councilman Wells discussed pump repairs and getting things turned on in the spring.
CEMETERY Nothing at this time
ANNOUNCEMENTS
There is a Chili Feed in Idaho City today.
CONSTITUENT INPUT
Gregory Keefer will be running for Sheriff. He has 15 years of law enforcement experience. Mr. Keefer gave an example of Lake Havasu City and growth. He is also concerned about the Cumo Mine and the changes that may come to the area. He discussed a variety of areas of concern. May of 2020 is the election.
Dennis Waters spoke about the snow issues and having only one operator. Bruce Arnold has been out on the equipment but needs more training. There were concerns about having back up for Brian. Council discussed solutions.
Mrs. Cassel had a question about snow on the roof of the city museums and possibly having the snow removed.
Councilman Meek suggested calling 911 and requesting Placerville Fire District in case of a medical emergency.
