CITY CLERK
Approve Minutes: December 15, 2018 (action item)
A motion to approve the December 15, 2018 Minutes was made by Councilman Wells, Councilman Meek 2nd. Motion passed.
TREASURER’S REPORT
January Finance Report (action item)
A motion to approve the January Finance Report was made by Councilman Cassel, Councilman Arnold 2nd. Motion passed.
4th Quarter/End of Year Report/ Road and Street Report (action item)
A motion to approve the 4th Quarter/End of Year Report was made by Councilman Arnold, Councilman Cassel 2nd. Motion passed.
1st Quarter Report (action item)
A motion to approve the 1st Quarter Report was made by Councilman Wells, Councilman Arnold 2nd. Motion passed.
FIREWORKS (action item)
A motion to approve $3,000 plus donations for the Independence Day celebration was approved by Councilman Arnold, Councilman Meek 2nd. Motion passed.
Shane Chesnut spoke about the fireworks display and asked if there were any questions.
ROADS
Mayor Davies will plow the roads today with the new snow. Councilman Wells delivered more diesel so the tank is full and ready to go with the addition of some gel.
Contract-Councilman Cassel discussed a proposal for a possible contract and presented copies to council. Councilman Arnold asked for clarification on the contract and its need. Council discussed the contract and the validity of its need. No motion.
IRRIGATION
Fees (action item)
Council discussed the fee amounts and some upcoming projects.
A motion to keep irrigation fees at the current amount of $50 for a dry lot and $100 for a wet lot was made by Councilman Wells, Councilman Arnold 2nd. Motion passed.

HISTORICAL
Council Arnold will schedule a cleaning of the museums before Memorial Day Weekend. After a council meeting before Memorial Day weekend there will be a Historical Commission Meeting.
Carla Meek is resigning. A new secretary will be appointed.
There was a question about the ceiling that is falling down in City Hall and getting it repaired. Councilman Arnold would like to move forward with the repair.
There was a question about getting grants for Historical from the state.
CEMETERY
There is a plot that has been sold but not designated. The requester will wait until the conditions are easier to find a lot that will work.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Appointment announcements Julie Randolph-City Clerk/Treasurer, Cherese McClain-Attorney, Jim Wells -Irrigation, George Meek-Cemetery, and Bruce Arnold-Museums.
CONSTITUENT INPUT
Bob Showalter was in attendance and asked the city if there was anything he could do. He suggested using the Firewise grants to help with fire mitigation. Council asked if there would be grant money for the irrigation system since it could be used for fire mitigation. Mr. Showalter discussed having an oxygen tank in the firehouse and other disaster preparedness ideas.
Mrs. Cassel wanted to thank Mayor Davies for the job he is doing.
