Gravel has been ordered for Escobla. Granite had some work on it due to ruts in the road.
Councilman Wells discussed some crushed up asphalt that might be available to use on the city roads. The asphalt would have no fees but delivery would have a cost.
Historical is in desperate need to have some people step up and volunteer at the museum. The Merc needs to be patched up. Phoebe is doing the finances and has been doing a good job. There are raffle tickets available for a quilt drawing.
Councilman Wells asked about the SST. There are some issues that needed to be addressed by the city.
Everything in town should be turned on and there aren’t any repairs at this time. There was water running down some wire. The aluminum in conduit, to fix the issue, will cost a large sum of money and needs to be added to next year’s irrigation budget. There are some other issues as well but it’s as good as it going to get right now.
A plot has been located and purchased. There will be a service 1 PM Tuesday.
There is another plot being sold today.
The maps have been copied but the quality is in question.
No volunteers have cleaned up the cemetery.
Cans for Kids – The box that is currently by the fire district will need to be located elsewhere. Community Justice may be taking over the project. The location of the collection site is in question.
Bud Henthorn wanted to know if they could do a Karaoke night a couple times a month and put out a can for donations that would go to the city for a variety of functions. He would also like to see if they could do a swap meet. He’ll need to contact the city clerk.
There was a question about Granite Street and getting it graded by the county.
