CITY CLERK
Approve Minutes: May 18, 2019 (action item)
A motion to approve the May 18, 2019 Minutes was made by Councilman Wells, Councilman Arnold 2nd. Motion passed. TREASURER’S REPORT
June Finance Report (action item)
A motion to approve the June Finance Report was made by Councilman Wells, Councilman Meek 2nd. Motion passed.
Tentative Budget
Council discussed numbers for roads.
A motion to approve the Tentative Budget was made by Councilman Waters, Councilman Arnold 2nd. Motion passed. ROADS
Gravel has been ordered for Escobla. Granite had some work on it due to ruts in the road.
Councilman Wells discussed some crushed up asphalt that might be available to use on the city roads. The asphalt would have no fees but delivery would have a cost.
HISTORICAL
Historical is in desperate need to have some people step up and volunteer at the museum. The Merc needs to be patched up. Phoebe is doing the finances and has been doing a good job. There are raffle tickets available for a quilt drawing.
Councilman Wells asked about the SST. There are some issues that needed to be addressed by the city.
IRRIGATION
Everything in town should be turned on and there aren’t any repairs at this time. There was water running down some wire. The aluminum in conduit, to fix the issue, will cost a large sum of money and needs to be added to next year’s irrigation budget. There are some other issues as well but it’s as good as it going to get right now.
CEMETERY
A plot has been located and purchased. There will be a service 1 PM Tuesday.
There is another plot being sold today.
The maps have been copied but the quality is in question.
No volunteers have cleaned up the cemetery.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Cans for Kids – The box that is currently by the fire district will need to be located elsewhere. Community Justice may be taking over the project. The location of the collection site is in question.
CONSTITUENT INPUT
Bud Henthorn wanted to know if they could do a Karaoke night a couple times a month and put out a can for donations that would go to the city for a variety of functions. He would also like to see if they could do a swap meet. He’ll need to contact the city clerk.
There was a question about Granite Street and getting it graded by the county.
Greg Keefer announced the Gold Dust Rodeo will be in Idaho City on June 28 and 29th.
