The culvert on Escobla Lane has been installed. Some roads will be graded but the rock rake is not available at the moment. Using the rock rake after grading is ideal. Mayor Davies suggested getting four loads of road mix to make some repairs. A motion to approve four loads was made by Councilman Arnold, Councilman Waters 2nd. Motion passed.
There was a question about putting up road signs due to excessive dust in the area from four-wheelers.
Councilman Wells said about 3/5 of the water has been turned on. There is still some work to be done in order to get the rest of the water turned on. He is waiting for a new install as well. The large pump house is not put back together yet but won’t take much longer to get it completed. He would like to replace the siphon with new pipe this year. The little pump house also needs to be redone with a cycle-stop pump. Councilman Wells would like to get some gravel to backfill the area behind the dam.
Councilman Meek had a request to find an 1860 grave. He would like to have the cemetery maps reprinted professionally so they are easier to read.
Councilman Wells suggested putting an ad on the website to see if there are any groups that would like to come up and help with clean up.
Councilman Arnold discussed activities that have been going on. He’d like to get the inside of City Hall repaired. They would like to put out a bid to have it looked at and repaired.
Painting will be getting done. They’d like it done before Memorial Day but rain is in the forecast. There will be a Memorial Day weekend Potluck. There will be a raffle for a quilt until Labor Day weekend.
