A motion to approve the Agenda was made by Councilman Arnold, Councilman Wells 2nd. Motion passed.
CITY CLERK
Approve Minutes: November 17, 2018 (action item)
A motion to approve the November Minutes was made by Councilman Wells, Councilman Arnold 2nd. Motion passed.
TREASURER’S REPORT
December Finance Report (action item)
A motion to approve the December Finance Report was made by Councilman Arnold, Councilman Meek 2nd. Motion passed.
4th Quarter/End of Year Report – not available at this time due to computer issues.
Council discussed getting the computer fixed and will leave it up to the treasurer’s discretion for the repairs.
ROADS
Chains are on the grader. Plowing has been done a couple of times. There are about 4 gallons of oil left. Diesel is looking pretty good at the moment. Council discussed a couple areas that have a berm after the county grader goes through. Council discussed having the city roads cleared off when that happens. Contracted labor came up. Council discussed the definition.
IRRIGATION
Most expenses have been taken care of for the majority of the repairs. There are still some leaks that need to be taken care of and a valve needs to be repaired for back up.
HISTORICAL
Money is in the bank. Carla Meek will be turning in the books in January.
CEMETERY
A plot was sold. But the site needs to be picked.
ANNOUNCEMENTS None at this time.
CONSTITUENT INPUT
George Butters discussed FEMA Funds for disasters. Mr. Butters would like to have council sign the County All Hazard Mitigation Plan. If the plan is not signed then the funds cannot be requested for 6 years. Thinning areas on the city lines to remove the potential fire fuels was an example given by Mr. Butters. Preventative measures could be an area the money can be used. The money can also be used for disaster situations. Council had questions about the funds. Examples were given about how the funds can be used.
Due to the looming deadline for the Hazard Mitigation Plan a motion was made by Councilman Wells, Councilman Arnold 2nd. Motion Passed.
Mr. Gasiorowski invited the council and the public to attend the Wildland Urban Interface presentation to be held in on January 19 at the PVFD.
Mr. Butters discussed an incident last night. He wanted to thank people for helping out.
